A Play, A Pie and A Pint
Òran Mór’s groundbreaking lunchtime theatre programme,
A Play, A Pie and A Pint, runs twice a year during spring and autumn. Plays
by some of Scotland’s best-known playwrights dovetail with works by
emerging talent, and feature some of Scotland’s brightest stars, like
Robbie Coltrane, Elaine C. Smith, Karen Dunbar and Kathleen McDermott.
Performances last approximately 50 minutes, Monday to Saturday, and the ticket
price includes a pie (or vegetarian option) and a pint or glass of wine.

Founding Father Benjamin Franklin shares a few secrets with us.
John Bett is an old friend of Oran Mor. He has written, directed and acted here.
His previous plays were Laughing at the Fuhrer and the jazz opera Night Hawks (with composer Robert Pettigrew) .He directed both of these as well as Double Yellow, Night Out and Tequila Sunrise. He acted in Laughing at The Fuhrer, Genesis Rock and The Tobacco Merchant’s Lawyer. He occasionally works elsewhere.
