Friday 22nd October 2010, 7:00 pm
American “Rockgrass” raconteurs, Hayseed Dixie, who are known to be armed to the teeth with acoustic instruments and are considered extremely dangerous, have announced they will be doing four very special shows in Glasgow in October. Each show will be themed and no song will be repeated throughout the ‘tour’. Says singer Barley Scotch, “We had to do this event in Glasgow. It’s our best market in the world, maybe because people drink more in Glasgow than anywhere else according to the BBC!”
So come, join Hayseed Dixie doing what they love best – getting stark raving plastered and rocking out in their own unique and inimitable way at the following venues :

Since their inception 10 years ago, Hayseed Dixie have sold over 600,000 albums worldwide, and their latest offering, Killer Grass, is either their absolute greatest musical achievement or absolute worst offence yet, depending on your personal perspective! Packaged as a combined CD and DVD set, the CD contains 7 original songs and 6 Rockgrass re-interpretations of previously known works (by everyone from Mozart to Queen to The Prodigy), all of which focus on the bands favourite four themes - with a particular emphasis on murder and death (the theme of the 3rd show). The DVD contains music videos for 6 songs as well as 5 instructional "tutorial" videos addressing everything from how to play rockgrass banjo, to how to hide the body.
