Religious & Civil Ceremonies
Situated in the Heart of the West End of Glasgow, Òran
Mór is a unique venue, licensed for a wedding ceremony, civil partnership
or civil ceremony or reception. Within the converted church, the Auditorium
and Gallery are both ideal for wedding ceremonies and the Private Dining Room
can be used for more intimate wedding gatherings. From your initial inquiry
through to the completion of your event, you will have one contact ensuring
a personal and efficient service. We recognise that each wedding is unique with
different requirements and, therefore, we offer complete flexibility including
bespoke menus and an accommodating approach to any request.
The Auditorium
The Auditorium is an atmospheric room enhanced by the original
pagan stained glass and, as well as retaining many of the original features
of the church, offers a contemporary setting in which to hold events. Hire of
the Auditorium also includes the use of the Gallery (see info below). The facilities
include private entrance, private bar, dedicated kitchen, disabled access, natural
daylight and a stunning original architectural setting.

Please note: the minimum number for a wedding reception
is 100, but smaller receptions maybe possible on request. Please ask
the events team for further information.
The Gallery
The Gallery is located in the upper level of the
Auditorium (balcony level) and is normally hired in conjunction with
the Auditorium. The Gallery is a perfect location for smaller, civil
wedding ceremonies and it can be utilised as an additional seating,
or standing, area for performances taking place in the Auditorium.
It is also an ideal spot for viewing Alasdair Gray's ceiling mural.
